I am Gitanjaly Chhabra, friends and colleagues often call me “G.” I was born and raised in India, spending much of my childhood away from home in a boarding school nestled in the mountains — perhaps that is why I have always felt at home among the peaks and ridges. I have been fortunate to travel across the globe, and these journeys have deeply shaped my perspective on life, learning, and human connection.
Currently, I:
Serve as an Assistant Professor at University Canada West (UCW) in Vancouver, Canada.
Contribute as a member of the senate curriculum committee for the undergraduate programs.
Am the section editor for our in-house journal, UCW Backpack.
My current research and creative works include:
Ethics of AI and the intersections of technology and society.
Posthuman philosophy and explorations of consciousness.
AI in women’s health and healthcare communication.
Decolonization through scholarly and artistic practice.
Creative engagement via erasure poetry, art exhibitions, and interdisciplinary projects.
