I am Gitanjaly Chhabra, friends and colleagues often call me “G.” I was born and raised in India, spending much of my childhood away from home in a boarding school nestled in the mountains — perhaps that is why I have always felt at home among the peaks and ridges. I have been fortunate to travel across the globe, and these journeys have deeply shaped my perspective on life, learning, and human connection.

Currently, I:

  • Serve as an Assistant Professor at University Canada West (UCW) in Vancouver, Canada.

  • Contribute as a member of the senate curriculum committee for the undergraduate programs.

  • Am the section editor for our in-house journal, UCW Backpack.

My current research and creative works include:

  • Ethics of AI and the intersections of technology and society.

  • Posthuman philosophy and explorations of consciousness.

  • AI in women’s health and healthcare communication.

  • Decolonization through scholarly and artistic practice.

  • Creative engagement via erasure poetry, art exhibitions, and interdisciplinary projects.
